IN OTHER NEWS 🚨 We are now the official supplier for the @smolproducts offices 💫 An environmentally focused company that approached us due to our shared interest in zero-waste packaging, ethical sourcing and fresh tasty coffee ♻️ These are our 10KG metal pails that we use for wholesale customers 👌 If you are interested moving to freshly roasted speciality coffee for your coffee shop or office, please get in touch 💛

It's our 3rd Birthday next week at the shop 🎈 To kick the celebrations off early HERE IS OUR ALL NEW PACKAGING (online 200g only) 💥 Finally @the.bag.broker have solved the seemingly simple problem of FULLY RECYCLABLE coffee packaging with a valve ♻️ Not (level 4) flexi packaging that you have to take to a specialist facility (that no one realises or does) but regular domestic recycling 🙏 This fixes the problem that lead us to using glass packaging! So it's been a long road and we're VERY HAPPY about this result 😊 SECONDLY we have an amazing new coffee from Ethiopia which we're offering 10% off online 🇪🇹 This coffee is anaerobically fermented in sealed barrels to increase fruity acidity and booziness, it's funky, it's boozy, IT'S NOT FOR EVERYONE, but we LOVE this sort of coffee 💛 Available on batch brew filter currently in the shop and we have limited availability (to be then replaced by a line of seasonal experimental coffees) 👌

Introducing the " KIN TIN" 🎙 Inspired by @the.refillery.canterbury (who we supply) we decided to take our commitment to zero-packacking up a knotch 👌 The tin costs £2 (you can still use your bottle to get £1 off this) and it fits just over 250g inside ✌️ We are using these for our shop stock, so they will stay super fresh as THANKS TO YOU GUYS we plow through the stuff ☕️ We also have per 100g prices so you can try smaller amounts of coffees that perhaps you haven't tried before OR bring your own vessel AND WE'LL STILL HAVE KILO BAGS 👍 Lastly it's worth mentioning that part of our zero-packaging efforts is to supply wholesale in re-usable metal pails e.g. @amyspantrytenterden which is well worth a visit when you're next in Tenterden ✨️

This is how we @aeropress for @witchiewends ✨️ We like the inverted method : Sit your plunger upside down 🙃 COFFEE IN + a tiny splash of cold water/boiling water (to get the temp to about 93c), give it a little stir (which will allow some more room for water if coffee is super fresh/puffy) 👉 Brew quick with a fine grind, a couple mins with filter grind or about 5 mins for course/cafetiere 👌 Put the filter paper in (once you've sorted the coffee bit)... WET THE FILTER PAPER which will make it stick to the lid (and remove paper-y taste), screw the lid on AND PLUNGE with a good amount of pressure (if you've let it brew for too long it can need some welly) 💪 Sit back and figure out "What's going to make today a great day?" whilst sipping your tasty cup of coffee ☕️

Okay BIG news 📰 Introducing our second direct trade partnership with @agri_evolve based in the Rwenzori Mountains of Uganda and @omwanicoffee 🇺🇬 To celebrate this exciting collaboration we are officially launching "BIGBIRD" our all new dark(er) roast ✨️ 50% via @calscoffee from Fazenda Bom Jesus the (2023) most sustainable coffee farm in Brazil (which we recently visited) 🇧🇷 This works perfectly as a dark chocolate base to set up the other 50% naturally processed Uganda with its morish jammy fruitiness ☕️ We have been trialling this coffee as our mainstay in the coffee shop and it has been going down a storm 👏 You can, however, get your single origin fix of medium roast Brazilian "Earlybird" on filter or lighter roasted Ugandan on our guest espresso for a blast of fruity acidity 🍓 NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE AND IN STORE
